Val Maledrio, that once connected the Val di Sole with the Val Rendena, acquired the name Via Dell' Imperatore (the Emperor's Road) after the Emperor of Austria and Hungary, Franz Joseph, passed this way on one of his stays in Campiglio.
How to get there
At the beginning of Via Gole in Dimaro, take the “accorciatoia per Folgarida” (Folgarida short-cut) and when you get to Bonetei continue in the direction of Le Sort (940 m) to the Costa Rotian junction. Cross the main road and follow the La Lec footpath along the Val Meledrio, in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, to Calcara.
